Re: www.requirementsnetwork.com - RQNG

Hello,

I've been all over the SpamAssain site, looking for a contact email, and I
contact Jason Mason who suggested I contact you folks. Hope you don't mind.
If your not the right person, I apologize

I have received a few calls from RQNG members and even some of our vendors
saying that they are not receiving our emails? I've recently noticed (last
week) a dramatic decrease in our site traffic. My first step was to call
Canada Web Hosting to discuss the possible cause of this. Looking at one of
the "Mailer Deamon Failure" notices, CWH suggested that
Requirementsnetwork.com may be on a "Black list" and I should connect with
you folks to inquire.

Could let me know if richard@requirementsnetwork.com or
www.requirementsnetwork.com <http://www.requirementsnetwork.com/> is on any
"black list"? If the answer is YES, how do I go about getting off that
list?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Have a great day,

Hi Richard. This really is not a spam assassin question. However, You can
check mail server IP against blacklists yourself with DNSSTUFF (link to two
of your IPs below). Notice that you don't have a proper PTR record that
could cause email to be blocked by some sites. (AOL for just one example).

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=69.27.101.25

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=65.39.135.188

To check URI Sytle Black Lists, visit
URIBL: http://lookup.uribl.com/
SURBL http://www.surbl.org/

Also, if your emails include the GIF Image (Logo) that may also cause some
poorly configured sites to see you as spam as a lot of spam these days is
image based.

I don't see requirementsnetwork.com in the usual blacklists. Ask the
requirementsnetwork.com postmaster to see whether their mail log
mentions any reason for mail being rejected. You can also ask Canada
Web Hosting to forward you one of these "Mailer Daemon Failure"
notices. It may contain some relevant information as to why the mail
could not be delivered.

Email addresses are not listed in blacklists. It's usually the
domain or the IP address of the sending server which gets listed. If
you were in a blacklist, you should find out whether the blacklist
has a website. It should contain instructions on how to get off the list.
