TLP proposal

Hi guys,

I just modified the TLP proposal for MINA.

I added myself to the PMC and nominated Alex as PMC Chair.

Trustin is definitely the man to drive MINA to the future. +1 for him as
the chair.

Hi everyone,

Sorry that my response was late.

I'd like to thank everyone who supports me first of all. It is really
encouraging and moving moment I have ever experienced. :'-)

I accept the nomination, and believe that what drives MINA is not only me
but everyone in this community. Whoever becomes a chairman, he (or she?)
will need everyone's support.

Thank you,
Trustin

Cool. BTW many people are telling me that it's actually possible for a
non member to be proposed as chairman of a new TLP PMC. In that case I
would like to nominate Trustin and withdraw myself.

Alex

This (Alex -> Trustin ASAP) sounds like the best approach for the
project to me too.
I therefore second the nomination of Alex for project chair.

Guys,

Just to not be misunderstood, I really wanted to nominate Trustin instead of
Alex. But Alex told me this was not very likely that he will be accepted, so
I substituted Trustin with Alex.

Peter, just to say that I really think that Trustin, as the MINA project
founder, is for me the best person to drive the project, at least for the
next year. I just think it's fair, and that he deserved it. Of course, if
Trustin decline the position, that's an other story.

Thanks for the nomination. I am flattered but I don't really want the
job of MINA PMC Chair at least not forever. However I will accept the
position as temporary PMC Chair until I can groom Trustin into the
position. This is not to say that Peter would not make an excellent PMC
Chair.

I think Trustin though is the right man for this job. Unfortunately a
proposal to the board will have a lesser chance of being accepted with a
non-member as the chair. So we cannot immediately make Trustin the
chair since he is not an ASF member. He can however be groomed into the
position by an experienced TLP chairman. I am willing to do this for
MINA with the intension of stepping down as soon as possible: after all
I must perform my duties at Directory.

So in essence I accept the position of Chairman for the MINA TLP's PMC
so long as it is temporary, and I can prepare Trustin for this position.

NOTE: This grooming technique is what is happening at Felix (Richard
Hall and Upayavira), and has already happened with the Jackrabbit
project with Roy Fielding as Chair and Jukka Chair to be.

Regards,
Alex
