The spark-assembly-1.3.1.jar is added to the Hive classpath 
./hive.distro:      export SPARK_HOME=$sparkHome
./hive.distro:  sparkAssemblyPath=`ls ${SPARK_HOME}/lib/spark-assembly-*.jar`
./hive.distro:  CLASSPATH="${CLASSPATH}:${sparkAssemblyPath}"

When launch HiveCLI, we could see the following message:
