[v2] Moving logj42 up one level in svn?

Currently:

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/logging/log4j/log4j2/

But why is that? Besides the log4j2 folder are the log4j1 folders:

branches/
companions/
log4j2/
tags/
trunk/

I think we should svn mv log4j2 up one level

Its probably a trivial change, but it feels more natural to me

Wdyt?

Besides log4php we are currently discussing to migrate Struts to GIT. If
one likes, one can follow the discussions there too. Many interesting links.

There are surely many benefits on git. My problem is that I have not so
much experience with it. I did just basic usage. Now with Struts moving and
log4php moving I would like to look at how that deals out before I would
suggest a move.

Of course, if there other here have a good git knowledge I am not opposed
for moving with log4j as I believe SVN will face a similar future as CVS
back in time (justified or not)

Cheers

Actually, several projects have moved to git already. It is easier to incorporate user contributions with git but other than that I don't really care which we use.
