[Bug 120549] New: problems editing and printing columns of text
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=120549
Priority: P3
Bug ID: 120549
Assignee: ooo-issues@incubator.apache.org
Summary: problems editing and printing columns of text
Severity: major
Issue Type: DEFECT
Classification: Application
OS: Windows 7
Reporter: ddmackinnon@gmail.com
Hardware: PC
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: AOO 3.4.0
Component: printing
Product: word processor
Text is displayed normally in columns
When I print a page of columned text, each column is printed on a separate page
Text prints fine when copied to Wordperfect
Downloaded the latest version which displays the same printing problems and
seems to have additional problems entering text when I type it. Columns expand
downward when I type additional text at bottom of first column. Unable to enter
text in any but the first column. Text does not scroll to column 2.
Printer is a HP Laserjet 4mp with a parallel interface.

--- Comment #1 from Oliver-Rainer Wittmann <or...@apache.org> ---
I could not reproduce the described defects.
First, I am not sure what is meant by "Test is displayed normally in columns".
Normally a new text document is one-columned on each page. I need to change the
page style to get more-columned text on a page.
Printing of a text document which is two-columned on each page works fine in my
environment (Windows 7, AOO 3.4).
Also editing such a text document works fine in my environment - the text flows
from first column at page 1 to second column at page 1 and from here towards
the first column of page 2 and so on.
@mac: Do you have a sample text document with which the described defects can
be reproduced?
