Validator confusion

Hi,all

in class 
org.apache.commons.validator.Field
There are two member fields.
indexedProperty
protected java.lang.String indexedProperty

---------------------------------
indexedListProperty
protected java.lang.String indexedListProperty


Please tell me differnce between the two.

In validation we user indexedListProperty then for which purpose indexedProperty is used and how?
