[jira] [Commented] (KUDU-871) Allow tombstoned tablets to vote

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KUDU-871?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15335070#comment-15335070 ]

Mike Percy commented on KUDU-871:
---------------------------------

We may need this to go from 1 -> 2 replicas. We currently forbid dropping from 2 -> 1 replica so we don't have to worry about this too much.

However we will have to deal with this to convert single masters to multi-masters

> We may need to support voting for tombstoned tablets to avoid availability issues in certain scenarios.
