[ANNOUNCE] Bigtop Jenkins EC2 AMIs outage

Hi!

there has been an outage on AWS today that
brought down our build slaves and the Jenkins
instance itself. I now restored it all, but since some
of the slaves didn't come back cleanly I had
to either replace them or bring them down
completely.

Everything is back to normal now, except:
   1. centos5 is decommissioned and we will
no longer support it in Bigtop (as per BOM)
   2. fedora17 is decommissioned and I don't
think I can justify time bringing it back.
Hence I'd like to request an amendment
       to the BOM
   3. Ubuntu Quantal is decommissioned and
I replaced it with the latest Ubuntu LTS 14.04
       (as per BOM).

Please let me know if you still see any issues.

Thanks,
Roman.

I would be fine with retiring F17, I hadn't realized it had been EOL'd so
long ago. Time flies.

As for F20, I would be interested in setting up the build slave for it.

Thank you,
Julien

Hi Roman,
Actually, it's very possible, I just can't find the keys but I don't think
I have them. Can you please share them with me?

Thanks!
Mark

Well, somebody would have to add the slave, configure it, add the build
configuration back -- the usual steps. All the keys are available to you
guys (Andrew B., Mark G. and Sean M. should have them).

Before you do that, however, I have a plea to make: Fedora17 is *really*
old by Fedora standards. Any chance at all you guys can work on
making Fedora 20 work?

Thanks,
Roman.

What would have to be done to bring the Fedora 17 VM back up? I might be
interested in getting it up and running again.

Thanks for dealing with that unfortunate business Roman.
