Playing around with the UI

Hi,
 In order to better understand the implementation i would like to make
modifications to the html/js files. What is the quickest way to make such
modifications and get it reflected in the UI and to see the output of the
modifications?

Hi Madhan,
   Thanks much for the offer to provide guidance.  I am attempting to add
on to Ranger with a custom plugin for a custom ACL enforcement following
the link given in another thread here...

Therefore i need to begin by adding another table entry to the Manage
Repository screen and have corresponding policies defined within it stored
in the DB and be retrievable by the custom plugin in the backend. I have
begun looking at PolicyManagerLayout_tmpl.html and PolicyManagerLayout.js.
Since i am relatively new to front end programming i am atttempting to
first better understand the implementation with making modifications,
giving log printouts and seeing their effects on the UI.
   Any help provided is much appreciated.
