Tests and Test Data

Hi,
I've created an account on wiki.apache.org/devicemap
(Bertrand, please give me write access.)
I've created the test-data set and test set-up.
Details will follow ASAP on wiki.apache.org/devicemap
Quick summary of current situation :
- - complete data set : 908,300 user-agent strings
- - mobile only : 98,017 user-agent strings
Testing the 'mobile only' set :
Average time-taken per user-agent string
(i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 4Gb RAM using .Net versions of code)
Resolver milliseconds
OpenDDR code 30.524093
DeviceMapClient 0.07
Fastest commercial 0.14
Most other commercially available solutions are slower than the
OpenDDR code.
DeviceMapClient is on average twice as fast as the fastest commercial
solution out there.
So when I wrote "1,000 times faster than any other currently available
tool", I should have written : "1,000 times faster than *almost* any
other currently available tool" ;-)
