Using the same userdir from previous release

With release 15 I did something like

    mkdir 15
    cp -a 14/userdir 15/userdir

Then start NetBeans-15 using 15/userdir and a fresh cachedir.

Simpler than import settings. Is there any problem/downside doing this?
