[ANN] Xalan-Java 2.4.D1 release posted to xml.apache.org
I'm pleased to announce the release of Xalan-Java version 2.4.D1.
Xalan-Java 2.4.D1 is a developer's release that works with Xerces-Java
version 2 and integrates all changes to the project since Xalan-Java 2.3.1.
Changes since Xalan-Java 2.3.1 include:
* Support for EXSLT extensions .
* Improvements to the extensions mechanism to more efficiently
handle the detection and analysis of extensions during the
stylesheet "composition" process, and the generation of the
required extension handlers during initialization of the
transformation process.
* Xalan-Java now uses a list of supported encodings in a properties
file (org.apache.xalan.serialize.Encodings.properties).
Fixes Bugzilla 6356. Patch from Sergey Ushakov.
* Bug fixes, including variable-handling bugs.
* and more.... for a complete list of all changes, see
xalan-cvs@xml.apache.org in the Apache mailing list archive
found at http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/ViewLists
