repeat enters in xalan

Hi, i've got a ugly problem using xalan to display data in HTML, the
problem is when i use a <TextArea> element form, if the user types
<enter> the next time the
page is displayed, xalan (i think) insert a new <enter>, i will thank
any help or idea, thanks
