Currently the [DataStream JdbcSink documentation|https://ci.apache.org/projects/flink/flink-docs-release-1.12/dev/connectors/jdbc.html] is very laconic and, beyond a short example, only points to the javadoc, which does not provide more info

Several aspects could make the documentation more user friendly:
 * the batching and retry behavior could be mentioned
 * default values could be mentioned
 * mandatory/optional nature of parameters could be mentioned
 * a longer example showing all parameters

I'll submit a short PR with suggested edition
