Misinformation re: sourcewriting transformer's (in)ability to handle namespace info
Summary: Misinformation re: sourcewriting transformer's
(in)ability to handle namespace info
Product: Cocoon 2
Version: 2.1.4
Platform: Other
URL: http://cocoon.apache.org/2.1/userdocs/transformers/sourc
ewriting-transformer.html
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: dev@cocoon.apache.org
ReportedBy: john@arachnedesign.net
I have found an error in the documentation regarding the behavior of the Source Writing Transformer:
the docs state that the Source Writing Transformer does NOT honor prefixes and namespaces, when in
fact it (now?) does.
Based on the information printed on the docs, I spent a couple hours and concocted a hack to
overcome this documentented shortcoming, only to realize that it wasn't necessary at all. I'm confident
that a revision could save a number of people some valuable time in the future :)
