How can I get RCSfile keyword functionality?
How can I implement a keyword in subversion that behaves identically as
$RCSfile$ did in CVS. The existing keywords such as $URL$ and $Id$ do
not meet my needs. All I want is just the file name. Can this be done
with subversion?

I'm fairly certain that's never going to happen. I haven't a clue how
that could work.
Why would it be so important anyway? If you're using this
hypothetical $File$ keyword in a comment, then a few extra characters
won't matter. And if you're assigning it to a variable, then you can
easily parse out the part you don't want.

Hi All
I would also be interested in a 'reduced' keyword as in $FILE$. However
it would be of most use to expand (somehow) to be only the file name -
all the other keywords expand with the keyword markers as well ($Rev:
131 $ for example when often only the numeric part is required. I
understand this could be difficult for the reverse substitution prior to
commit but you lot are clever guys so?

As I read it, instead of $URL$ resolving to
http://wherever/myproject/trunk/foo.c the OP wanted $FILE$ to resolve
to just foo.c
Quite possible, but AFAIK not currently implemented.

Subversion doesn't store versioned items as individual files (it's all
stored as a database), so such a keyword would be rather pointless
(there's nothing to populate into it). $URL$ is the closest.
