http-client.jar fails to work with axis based servers

Summary: http-client.jar fails to work with axis based servers
           Product: Cocoon 2
           Version: Current CVS
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Minor
          Priority: Other
         Component: general components
        AssignedTo: cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: crafterm@fztig938.bank.dresdner.net

Hi All,

After some testing I've discovered that soap requests made with the soap xsp
taglib hang indefinitely when making requests to axis based soap servers
(AxisServlet for example).

The problem seems to be located in the http-client.jar that's in Cocoon HEAD
CVS. The problem does not occur when using the http-client jar from Cocoon 2.0.3
branch, nor when using the latest http-client source from Common's CVS.

Would it be possible to update the http-client.jar in Cocoon HEAD to the latest
Common's code ?

Cheers,

Marcus
