Lenya install on OS X

Hello list,

I am a newbie, my question is this...

1.Do I need to edit the build file because the OS X JDK does not use
the Tools dir.?
2.The installation doc says to copy the endorsed library files. From
where to where?

Following the build and install of lenya src files from the CVS, when I
restart Tomcat and point to <localhost:8080/lenya> from my browser I
get a blank page (index.html) displayed with no error message. Pointing
to any other lenya subdirectory path in the browser returns the
"requested resource not found error message from the Cocoon servlet.
For example <localhost:8080/lenya/samples/>

Cocoon is running fine as far as I can tell. (Cocoon-2.1.2 inside the
Tomcat webapps dir.)

If anyone has experience with the OS X install I would appreciate your
help, or a nudge in the direction of the appropriate documentation.

Thanks much

Michael Singer

Please be aware that if you have Cocoon and Lenya running side by side:

webapps/cocoon
webapps/cocoon-lenya

then you might have a conflict re HSQLDB on port 9002

No the build completed with Build Successful message.

Thanks that seems to have made the difference. By the way I am running
Tomcat-2.1.24 (not LE) and Cocoon was installed via my build .war file
in the Tomcat webapps dir. I went back to the unpacked src.tar folder
and found and copied
xalan-2.5.1.jar xercesImpl-2.5.0.jar xml-apis.jar
and restarted Tomcat. So far I haven't encountered any more problems.

I am not sure, because I haven't installed Lenya on Mac OS X recently.
Does it say BUILD FAILED?

From

.../cocoon-2.1.2/lib/endorsed/

To

.../jakarta-tomcat-4.1.27-LE-jdk14/common/endorsed
