Message:

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: CENTRAL-17
    Summary: HelloComponent Tutorial is incomplete
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

    Project: Avalon Central
 Components:
             SITE

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Jorg Heymans

    Created: Thu, 5 Aug 2004 7:17 AM
    Updated: Thu, 5 Aug 2004 7:17 AM

Description:
The HelloComponent tutorial talks about creating a block descriptor, but does not tell you
1) where to put this descriptor
2) how to deploy the block (something to do with BLOCK-INF ??)

I guess it's because the tutorial assumes that merlin was built from the trunk. When you download the binary there are no tutorial files, so i made a blank maven project, copied the class, made a basic project.xml and maven.xml to get things compiling.
