migrating from tomcat(tdk-2.3) to WSexpressv5.1

Hello,

       I have my application successfully running on tomcat(tdk-2.3) as
a war file and I am attempting to migrate to WSexpress5.1. I am able to
load the application successfully with no errors but I cannot access the
application using the same url as I did under tomcat. Here is a copy of
my web.xml file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

<!DOCTYPE web-app

    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN"

    "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2.2.dtd">

<web-app>

  <servlet>

    <servlet-name>glostage</servlet-name>

    <servlet-class>org.apache.turbine.Turbine</servlet-class>

    <init-param>

      <param-name>applicationRoot</param-name>

      <param-value>webContext</param-value>

    </init-param>

    <init-param>

      <param-name>properties</param-name>

              <param-value>/WEB-INF/conf/TurbineResources.properties

             </param-value>

    </init-param>

    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>

            </servlet>

    <web-resource-collection>

      <web-resource-name>templates</web-resource-name>

      <url-pattern>/templates/*</url-pattern>

    </web-resource-collection>

    <web-resource-collection>

      <web-resource-name>logs</web-resource-name>

      <url-pattern>/logs/*</url-pattern>

    </web-resource-collection>

  </security-constraint>

</web-app>

thank you,

Try removing this:          ^
                            !

Some containers seem to react sensitive to pathes in their
webapplications starting with "/".

Hi Brian,

I've never tried WSexpress, but I tried both Jetty and Resin. I didn't have
any problem with the WAR file, but I did have to be careful about jar file
dependencies. I also had some problems with the Log4j.properties so the
logs weren't where I expected. So maybe try looking around for other places
errors might show up?

Good luck,

David
