Summary: Aggregate report make crash the test.
           Product: JMeter
           Version: 2.1.1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P3
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jtinana@gmail.com

When try to test for a long time an application using the JMeter with an
Aggregate Report (more or less 1 day) the JMeter crash launching OutOfMemory
excecptions.
We instrumented the JMeter with an OptimizeIt and just look for memory leaks. We
discover that the instances of the classes org.apache.jmeter.visualizers.Sample
are never garbage collected and it makes that the heap becomes full in some hours.

------- Additional Comments From sebb@apache.org 2006-03-21 20:02 -------
Aggregate Report is handled by the SamplingStatCalculator class which keeps a
List (Vector) of all the samples added to it. [The same class is used by quite
a few of the other Visualisers.]

I'm not sure if this List can easily be eliminated.

In the meantime, a workround might be to use the Generate Summary Results Post-
Processor, and extract the information from the jmeter.log file.

------- Additional Comments From sebb@apache.org 2006-05-21 14:36 -------
I've added a Summary Report which is similar to Aggregate Report, except that
the median and 90% columns have been removed.

As far as I know, it's not possible to calculate the Median and 90% values of a
set of data without keeping track of every value.

If there is an algoritm to do this, please re-open the bug, and provide details.
