If the vote is going well (independent +1's, one mentor, no outstanding
comments), I think we should start the general@i vote in parallel. This
is a "clearing up after IPMC comments" release.
(I think that is possible - shout if it isn't not done or is a bad idea)

We are now waiting on general@i -- we have one extra IPMC vote (ant

No problem - I didn't leave much gap in the schedule and not everyone
can find a slot to check at short notice.
(We can discuss later whether the checking can be split up so that we
make sure we get proper coverage but without undue duplication.)

Sorry Andy, I've been digging myself out of other holes. I see you have
Benson and Damian's vote, but I could look at the RC later if you like.

I have been grep'ping for the URL:
http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0
I've also run the RAT over the source-release files.

Hmm -- the version number of RAT does not include "-incubator" in the
jar version number, but is in the binaries and sources filename.

[Checked signatures, NOTICE et al, source buildable, tests pass,
directory structure meets i-g list requests.
A naive
grep -L "Licensed to the Apache Software Foundation"
threw up shell scripts in bin and bin-test but those do have short-form
license headers.]
