Issues with JS client

I have a checkout from the trunk of about a week ago.

I have used Chemistry to implement a ATOM CMIS Server.

Now I am playing with the JS client. I noticed a number of issues and
I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or is the client messed
up?

some of the issues.

1. the cmis properties returned in Chemistry via the ATOM server are
cmisra ie... cmisra:repositoryInfo In the JS client it is looking for
cmis:repositoryInfo. Altering this in the JS works,

2. I had the same issue for collections as listed above. I added the ra.

3. If at the root it was looking for a collection with of type
rootchildren to get its URL but the type actually is just root.
<collection href="http://localhost:8080/cmis/children/2f"
xmlns:cmisra="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/cmis/restatom/200901"
cmisra:collectionType="root">
			<title xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" type="text">children
collection</title>
		</collection>

4. After I got all above fixed I see my root children but no link to
click on it or anything. Is the client supposed to be browse-able?

AW: Issues with JS client

Posted by Michael Mertins <Mi...@saperion.com>.
Can't get CMIS spaces to work with the default Chemistry make. Would anybody be so kind and tell me how I should test 1.0 builds?

Does the JS client work? Where do I have to copy it to if I usually start cmis with java -jar chemistry-tests\target\chemistry-tests-1.0-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar ?

FYI, there's also another Flex client called CMISSpaces (which is at 1.0 now).

I don't know if it will help.

But this is the XML for my ROOT guy. and i pasted the repository

That is good to know. I can definitely fix that. Although...

I'd like file a formal complaint on this whole spaces or not thing ;)

Yes, both are legal and equivalent. I forget the RFC that defines that
but arbitrary spaces are definitely allowed.

Funny, at the last face-to-face meeting of the CMIS TC we had interop
tests and I seem to remember that someone had this very same problem
of being too strict on content type parsing :)

It looks like there is a space in the type. Not sure if this is because of
the email or not. However, I'm doing an comparison of
'application/atom+xml;type=feed' which has no spaces. Perhaps that is it?

Also, I don't want to flood the Chemistry list if this is an issue with CMIS
Explorer. If it is, we can continue this on the Google Group for it. I just
saw your post there. Sorry I missed it earlier.

Re: Issues with JS client

Posted by Jason Tesser <ja...@gmail.com>.
Shane also that is the code for getting the items at the root level
right? My problem is with stuff under that level so ROOT --> LEVEL1
--> LEVEL2 My issue is that I don't get the children to LEVEL2.

CMIS Explorer never made a web request to get the children of level2
which should have been something like
http://localhost:8080/cmis/children/31  where 31 is my LEVEL1 folder.

Re: Issues with JS client

Hi Jason,

To be honest, I'm not sure. I'd have to take a look. When I updated it to
the .62 specification I simply tested it against the Alfresco public
repository. It may be that I accidentally used something Alfresco specific
rather than CMIS specific. I can check that out tonight. In the meantime,
here are a couple of relevant snippets. Perhaps you can find what I missed
in there.

getting the 'root children' url...

var childrenURL:String =
result.workspace.collection.(@collectionType=='root').@href;

deciding if a child is a document or folder...

var baseTypeId:String =
f.object.properties.propertyId.(@pdid=='cmis:BaseTypeId').value;

if (baseTypeId != null && baseTypeId == "cmis:folder")
    folders.addItem(Folder.getFolder(f));
else if (baseTypeId != null && baseTypeId == "cmis:document")
    documents.addItem(Document.getDocument(f));

Perhaps it is the collectionType (root) or pdid (cmis:BaseTypeId)?

Till then I have to stick to Shane's CMIS explorer that is still at 0.62 http://code.google.com/p/cmis-explorer/

Btw. I overworked my patches for the JCR area. Are they of any use now?

AW: Issues with JS client

Posted by Florian Roth <Fl...@in-gmbh.de>.
Hi Jason,

I had the same problems. I think the JS Client is not on the latest CMIS 1.0 SNAPSHOT version, and it's not full functional CMIS client jet.
But it shows the architectural cutting js -> cmis-atompub.

Best regards,

Flo Roth

Betreff: Issues with JS client

I have a checkout from the trunk of about a week ago.

I have used Chemistry to implement a ATOM CMIS Server.

Now I am playing with the JS client. I noticed a number of issues and
I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or is the client messed
up?

some of the issues.

1. the cmis properties returned in Chemistry via the ATOM server are
cmisra ie... cmisra:repositoryInfo In the JS client it is looking for
cmis:repositoryInfo. Altering this in the JS works,

2. I had the same issue for collections as listed above. I added the ra.

3. If at the root it was looking for a collection with of type
rootchildren to get its URL but the type actually is just root.
<collection href="http://localhost:8080/cmis/children/2f"
xmlns:cmisra="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/cmis/restatom/200901"
cmisra:collectionType="root">
                        <title xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" type="text">children
collection</title>
                </collection>

4. After I got all above fixed I see my root children but no link to
click on it or anything. Is the client supposed to be browse-able?
