applicationConfigLocation alternative
Hi All,
I am writing a restful service using wink. I wanted to know if there an
alternative way to mention the resources and providers used in the
application against defining the location of the application file in the
init parameter of web.xml.
My application has a config file in place, I can have the
applicationConfigLocation defined in that config file. But can the
RestServlet some how pick this value against expecting the value from its
init param of web.xml?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bharath C M.

I don't think there's a way to do that today. I'm not entirely sure
what benefit you gain by adding the indirection as the web.xml is its
own configuration file. However, you're certainly welcome to submit a
patch.

Sorry, I'm confused by this question so let me see if I understand:
1) You have a Wink application file somewhere.
2) You have your "personal" application config properties file that
could contain the applicationConfigLocation property and value. This
config file contains properties for all of your application (i.e.
non-Wink related).
3) instead of specifying the Wink application file directly in a
web.xml, you want Wink to read your "personal" application's config
property file to determine the value of the applicationConfigLocation
Wink init param.
