> Original MERRA reanalysis data are in HDF-EOS format. Current file loaders cannot read hourly MERRA data files at all without file conversion and pre-processing. By adding a simple loader for MERRA data (load_merra_3d_files), OCW users can easily read and create an OCW dataset object.
