Minutes: JDO TCK Conference Call Thursday August 8 9:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)

Posted by Craig Russell <ap...@gmail.com>.
Attendees: Michael Bouschen, Craig Russell

Next meeting: August 15 2019 9:30 AM PDT

Agenda:

1. JDO-779 "Migrate JDO Homepage / Online Documentation" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-779 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-17979

From a message sent to jdo dev earlier:
> - Docsy is a template for Hugo, which is a popular open-source static site generator written in Go.
> - Docsy was started by the documentation team at Google, because they wanted to create a template for documentation and information architecture that was very easy to use, set up, and that that open source projects could adopt easily.
> - Many static websites are built in Jekyll. One of the main strengths of Docsy over Jekyll is multi-language support, which is not great in Jekyll. Docsy is built in Hugo and it natively supports many languages, which makes the localization efforts easier for open source projects

> [1] https://example.docsy.dev/ <https://example.docsy.dev/> <https://example.docsy.dev/ <https://example.docsy.dev/>>
> [2] https://www.kubeflow.org/ <https://www.kubeflow.org/> <https://www.kubeflow.org/ <https://www.kubeflow.org/>>
> [3] https://agones.dev/site/ <https://agones.dev/site/> <https://agones.dev/site/ <https://agones.dev/site/>>

The first thing to do is to look at these sites and decide on the overall look and feel for the site.

2. JDO-652 "Provision of a typesafe refactor-friendly query capability for JDOQL" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-652

AI everyone: review the changes to Ch-14-Query.odt in the JIRA.
