Dear Santa Claus

My Camel in Action book pages are worn, torn and the the edges of the pages
are blackened from the many times the book has been thumbed through. Sticky
notes and bookmarks adorn the book in answer to long forgotten questions.

But my children are starting to complain that when we curl up by the fire at
night and I read to them that they've heard all the stories before. My dog
whines when I pick it up and my wife leaves the room.

I've told them that Santa Claus is busy with his elves working on a new
edition and they should all be patient. Soon I'll be regaling them with new
tales and fresh Camel rides. But I tell them to be patient because it isn't
Henrik Ibsen who is writing the book.

Will there be an early Christmas this year?

I'll just have to tell the kids the Santa Claus won't be coming this year.
Heh.

I'm looking forward to the new book whenever it gets here.

Ho ho ho. I am in fact sitting in an airport in Norway, which is the
land of the famous Ibsen, the Henrik Ibsen. The plain is 2h delayed,
and the voucher we were given to compensate for the delay, was only
for buying food, not a beer :(. But the wifi is free and works. And we
bough a beer to our meal. The beer is only 99 NOK.

Though Henrik didn't have to write source code that compiles and works
with his poems and stories, and also fix bugs in Camel, or implement
the feature you write about - eg book driven development ;)

Though Jonathan and I aim to have all the material done this year, and
then its the type setting and whatnot phase that takes it time before
the book is final done. So it may end up be 2017 before its really
done done.
