Some 4.12 stats

Hi,

Been a big spike in traffic and downloads (larger than previous 2 releases).

Currently there been 13,000 page views of the site, 940 installs of 4.12 and 1,023 total installs since the 4.12 release.

Should hit the 1000 installs of 4.12 in a 3-5 hours.

Thanks,
Justin

Real number may be higher as people can download form mirrors and once an SDK is packaged up and working it can be passed about.

According to my stats, Apache Flex (all versions) has been downloaded and
installed at least 40,670 times since we started keeping track.

Out of this, 39,800 are unique downloads. This gives us a rough idea of
how many Apache Flex SDK users there are currently.

Thanks,
Om

Hi Justin,

Believe it or not, the reason why the Chinese cities came on top is probably
because I wrote a blog about the new features and many enhancements about
Flex 4.12 on its release day.

The blog is written in Chinese, I posted it on my blog and weibo (it's like
Chinese Twitter), many AS3 developers read it, and some of them also forward
the blog, here it is:
http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_6f56a2bf0101gu2q.html

My net friends who work in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, they
are talking about Flex in my QQ group (it's a Chinese IM group), some of
them downloaded Flex 4.12 to give a try, some of them decided to build solid
mobile and desktop projects using Flex.

I will continue to help spreading Flex to the Chinese developers, and
wishing Apache Flex could really go far : )
