This one needs to be fixed in apxs - Fixing it in mod_webapp is a work around
(but that is possible) -

I am using gcc 2.95.3 and glibc-2.2.2-38...
Which APR are you using?
And where the SIGSEGV occurs? (gdb httpd core).
