[jira] [Commented] (SQOOP-1708) Rename Unsupported Column type to DefaultType and add java doc

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-1708?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14205675#comment-14205675 ]

Jarek Jarcec Cecho commented on SQOOP-1708:
-------------------------------------------

I don't think that the {{DefaultType}} have the right semantics here. The {{Unsupported}} data type (or {{Unknown}}) really corresponds to a type that Sqoop doesn't know and hence that we do not support. To me default means that it's a default value that make sense in most of the cases (like default value of a configuration property), however here ending up in the "Default" state is actually undesirable.
