Description:
Our application is running on Tomcat 6.0.45.
Due to security reasons, we are replacing JDK 1.8 with JRE 1.8.
Tomcat is bundled with Eclipse JDT compiler - ecj-4.3.1.jar.
It's not able to recompile JSP pages without JDK.
We upgraded tomcat version to 8.5 and followed the below link to configure the JSP compiler.

it's still not working.
Does tomcat require JDK to compile JSP pages ?
