Building Excalibur
Hello all.
Couple of issues I noticed when building Excalibur recently:
1. Dependencies on JavaMail and JMS
Can't we use the geronimo-spec jars [1] so that there are two less jars
that users have to manually download? That would leave jsse as the only
dependency not hosted on ibiblio (which is really only needed for JDK
1.2-1.3).
2. Excalibur Logger dependency on LogKit
Excalibur logger currently depends on a snapshot version of logkit
(20040810104340). Is that necessary? Since we now host logkit, can't
we change that to 2.1-dev or SNAPSHOT?
I'd just make the changes myself, but I've been out of the loop lately
and wanted to check before I broke something and made gump grumpy.

I know I tried this a few months back and it was a problem. Supposedly their
jars are much better now :-D

Sure!

Gump is already grumpy but doesn't know it -- we're not building
avalon-framework or logkit from the new location yet but still from avalon
svn (using magic).
