Default Group Setting in httpd.conf can lead to gnashing of teath

Summary: Default Group Setting in httpd.conf can lead to gnashing
                    of teath
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.36
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: petermac@threerock.com

The httpd.conf file has a default user/group value of
User nobody
Group #-1

When attempted to run on a Linux/Unix type system without modification, this
causes errors to be written to logs/error_log
[alert] (22)Invalid Argument: setgid: unable to set group id to <nnnnn>

Just a thought but if the User is set to nobody by default, should the Group
value not also be.

Thanks

Peter Mac Giollafhearga
