Multiple JVMs in Tomcat 3.2
Dear all,
I have just upgraded my dev machine. It now runs :
RedHat 6.2
Tomcat 3.2
Blackdown JDK 1.3.0
mod_jk
apache 1.1.12
I have noticed that when I start Tomcat I get a huge number of JVMs (43) -
this was not the case on my old setup (SuSE 6.1, Tomcat 3.1, JDK1.1.7,
mod_jserv, apache 1.1.12)
It doesn't seem to break anything, although things seem a little slower than
usual
Is this expected behaviour, or does anyone know a fix ?
Regards,
Andrew

tomcat 3.1 scriptlet
Posted by Seiju Taniguchi <se...@digiboutique.or.jp>.
Hello, I have a simple question regarding the use of JSP-scriptlet.
When you access http://localhost:8080 to verify whether tomcat installation
was appropriate and goes "JSP examples -> number guess -> execute"
you will have what you desired.
But when you deleted
"$TOMCAT/webapps/examples/WEB-INF/classes/num/NumberGuessBean.class"
and restarted tomcat, you get "NoClassDefFoundError". I thought tomcat will
compile the source code and re-create class file. Though, from this
experiment
this does not seem true.
Would anyone has any suggestions for this?
