Cannot find bean in scope null
I am trying to create a drop-down selection box using the html:select and
html:options tags. I have a form bean - dataViewerForm. I am getting the
error cannot find bean in scope null. I have gone over and over my code and
am not sure what I am missing.
Here is the jsp snippet:
<html:form name="selectionChange"
type="org.trimet.gis.buds.forms.DataViewerForm" action="selectionChange.do"
focus="trips"> <div align="right"><bean:message
key='trimet.buds.changeTrip'/>
<bean:define id="trips" name="dataViewerForm" property="trips"
type="org.trimet.gis.buds.forms.DataViewerForm"/>
<html:select property="trips" onchange="document.forms[0];">
<html:options collection="trips"
property="tripNumber" labelProperty="tripNumber"/>
</html:select>
</div>
</html:form>
I have a form bean - DataViewerForm with a variable, trips that is a
collection.
Here is the info from my struts_config.xml file:
<!-- DataViewer form bean -->
<form-bean name="dataViewerForm"
type="org.trimet.gis.buds.forms.DataViewerForm"/>
<action path="/selectionChange"
type="org.trimet.gis.buds.actions.SelectionChangeAction"
name="dataViewerForm"
scope="request"
validate="false">
<forward name="failure" path="/jsp/logon.jsp"/>
<forward name="success" path="/jsp/dataViewer.jsp"/>
</action>
What am I missing?
Thanks
Courtney
