Bench Marking

Has anybody done any bench marking, how fast we get the reponse for just
very simple request??

I did some very basic benchmarking a few days ago. An apache soap client
is call.invoke():ing an MS Soap server thousands of times. The server
responds with a static string. The result is not very sexy though,
I got approx. 4-5 requests/second throughput. I'm about to run
the client in a profiler to see where the bottleneck is, my
guess is the java XML parser..

Windows: Where do you want to go today?
MacOS: Where do you want to be tomorrow?
Linux: Are you coming or what?
