> I put <icon> tags in config.xml. I copied the example style in latest Cordova docs. This works fine for IOS, but not for Android. I tried both a single <icon> tag and multiple resolution-specific tags within <platform name="android">. Neither approach works for me.
> In Android Studio I can set an app icon successfully, so that is my workaround. I notice that Cordova copies my multiple icons to a set of mipmap folders under /res, But they are ignored. However after setting via Android Studio, I see that Studio groups my launch icons within a single mipmap/ic_launcher.png folder. Perhaps Cordova needs to do this?
