WebDAV servelt in commons?

Folks,

I am not saying that I plan or want to do anything like this, but
would the commons project be the right location for a lightweight
WebDAV servlet?

A starting point could be the one from Tomcat. 

I am pretty sure there would be quite a lot of people who would
contribute to this...
