           Summary: Add Timestamp to catalina.out
           Product: Tomcat 5
           Version: 5.0.30
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Catalina
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: dave@messagecast.net

A timestamp (or the option to add a timestamp) needs to be added to the classes
org.apache.catalina.logger.SystemErrLogger and
org.apache.catalina.logger.SystemOutLogger. The catalina.out file contains a
trove of information, but it is difficult to figure out when something occurred
without a date/timestamp
