[~soundhearer] I recommend contacting Cloudera support if you have an issue with Livy in a CDH distribution. In this case it is especially important because kerberos relogin in CDH's Livy differs from Apache Livy 0.6.0. 
In the meantime you might want to check if you run into https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8186576
