   @ctubbsii no problem pushing to 1.9.4 and agree the current behavior is safe. If this is a configurable feature, it would allow for either behavior. Some clusters don't have 24/7 monitoring and an automated recovery method would be helpful.
   
   @keith-turner Both points valid and agree that having a history of recent kills/lock removals and a back off mechanism should be part of the fix.
