@Sandeep8800 this is the same bug reported in [#36500](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/36500). The root cause is in [`superset/charts/data/api.py`](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset/charts/data/api.py#L396-L400) — when the user is a guest (i.e. embedded dashboard context), the `query` key is **unconditionally** stripped from the response, regardless of permissions:
```python
if security_manager.is_guest_user():
for query in queries:
query.pop("query", None)
```
This means even if you've correctly added `can view query Dashboard` to your embedded guest role, the SQL query will always be empty in the response — the permission check is never performed before stripping.
A community member on 6.1 [confirmed a fix](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/36500#issuecomment-4836764481): the code should check `can_view_query` before stripping:
```python
if security_manager.is_guest_user() and not security_manager.can_access("can_view_query", "Dashboard"):
for query in queries:
query.pop("query", None)
```
This allows guest users who have the `can view query Dashboard` permission to see the underlying SQL. Without this change, no amount of permission configuration will make "View Query" work on embedded dashboards. You may want to follow [#36500](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/36500) or consider submitting a PR with the fix above.

<!-- Answer -->
Yes, this is still an issue on master. The `_send_chart_response` method in `charts/data/api.py` unconditionally strips the `query` key from every result whenever the current user is a guest user [[1]](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset/charts/data/api.py#L396-L406):
```python
if security_manager.is_guest_user():
for query in queries:
query.pop("query", None)
```
There is no check for the `can_view_query` permission before stripping, so even if the guest role has `can view query` on `Dashboard`, the response will come back as `{"result": [{"language": "sql"}]}` — empty of the actual SQL [[2]](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/f2048886c0d1e874e53bc70aed818941011b1897/superset/charts/data/api.py#L449-L451).
A user in a related issue (#36500) confirmed the same behavior on 6.1 and found that changing the condition to respect the permission fixes it [[3]](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/36500#issuecomment-4836764481):
```python
if security_manager.is_guest_user() and not security_manager.can_access("can_view_query", "Dashboard"):
```
No fix for this has been merged yet.
