----------------------------------------------
Summary: AMS status should indicate failure in a dead RS scenario
Key: AMBARI-13027
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-13027
Project: Ambari
Issue Type: Bug
Components: ambari-metrics
Affects Versions: 2.1.2
Reporter: Myroslav Papirkovskyy
Assignee: Myroslav Papirkovskyy
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 2.1.2
Situation: HMaster process is up and running but RS is dead due to heap pressure resulting in ZK timeout for RS but not Master. Ambari calls take a long time to finish.
If RS is dead AMS should not indicate Live status.
