   This is no longer urgent for me, as I discovered the [Apache Vysper Embedded in a WAR demo](https://github.com/apache/mina-vysper/tree/685a690b3aa141f7ab9f275c8c29b0b043232dd4/examples/embedded-war). But it would be nice if the startup script worked.
