[jira] Created: (HARMONY-2056) [drlvm][jit] Jitrino.OPT's
bpp.version=1 does not insert a polling code to every backedge
[drlvm][jit] Jitrino.OPT's bpp.version=1 does not insert a polling code to every backedge
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: HARMONY-2056
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-2056
Project: Harmony
Issue Type: Bug
Components: DRLVM
Reporter: Mikhail Fursov
Priority: Minor
This bug is not critical, because it's about bbp.version=1 mode and default mode is bbp.version=6.
I found this problem while debugging more critical BBP bug and tried version=1 for my temporary needs.
In BBP documentation (in sources) I found:
// version of BBPolling:
// 0 - must be discarded in runImpl()
// 1 - insert bbpCFG at all backedges
So I expecting to have BBP code generated for this test:
public class BBPBug {
public static void main(String[] args) {
new BBPBug().foo();
}
void foo() {
int i=0;
while (i<100) {
synchronized (this) {
i++;
}
}
}
}
The BBP code is not generated.
