Trident topology vs Multilang

Hi,

I am trying to see if Trident can use the ShellBolt to mix some Python based bolts into our Java topology.
I found the following issue: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/STORM-151

Anyone knows if someone is actively working on this?

Or is there another way of invoking a Python based bolt from a Trident/Java based topology?
