[juddi-Users] E_busy response & faultCode = Client

The faultCode values are misleading and need to be addressed. Please
ignore these for now (at first glance it seems this value will always
be 'Client'). I'll post a bug to the jUDDI bug tracker to correct these
ASAP.

Currently the only situation in which you'll see the "E_busy" response is
when instantiation and initialization of the shared Registry didn't take
place or an error occured during instantiation. Take a look at the jUDDI
log file (which is specified in your log4j.properties file.) You may need
to change the logging level to WARN to avoid getting so much info (looks
like it's defaulting to DEBUG which will write so much to the log it's
almost self-defeating to use it.)

Excruciating Detail: This response is the result of a BusyException being
thrown in the AxisRequstHanler. The only time it's thrown is when there's
a problem obtaining a reference to the shared Registry instance (via a
call to the Registry.getInstance() method). The shared Registry is first
instantiated and initialized in the init() method of the RegistryServlet
which should be called when the jUDDI webapp is first loaded (it uses a
<load-on-startup> value of 1 in jUDDI's deployment descriptor (web.xml
file).

RE: [juddi-Users] E_busy response & faultCode = Client

Posted by Ma...@cs.tcd.ie.
I've specified c:\java\uddi\juddi.log in my log4j props file and changed
it to WARN but I still don't get anything flushed to the log.
I shall persevere but I'd run now as it's nearly 9 o'clock here and my
last train's in a few minutes.

I'll be able to hang around late on Monday for when you come online and
if it's okay I might have a few more questions for you by then?

Thanks again for the help,
Mark.
