[jira] Created: (VELOCITY-456) Uberspector chokes on a number of corner cases

Uberspector chokes on a number of corner cases
----------------------------------------------

                 Key: VELOCITY-456
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VELOCITY-456
             Project: Velocity
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Engine
    Affects Versions: 1.4, 1.5
            Reporter: Henning Schmiedehausen
         Assigned To: Henning Schmiedehausen
             Fix For: 1.5

The uberspector can be tricked into strange errors like java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException by passing some "unusual" property names like "" or null. It should catch these problems and behave reasonable.
