When importing a .docx file created by Microsoft Word, graphic bullets are
displayed as 'regular' bullets. This is visible in the attachment (demo.docx)
on page 8, under the section entitled "Multi-Level Lists" -> "A multi-level
list with bullets;" Apache OpenOffice doesn't display the graphical bullet
(which is supposed to be a graded blue box) which is displayed correctly in
both Microsoft Word 2010 (version I tested against), and LibreOffice 5.1.
Please note that I haven't tested against the older .doc format, so the problem
may exist there as well.

The image bullet in this document is wrongly displayed as a simple point bullet
by Apache OpenOffice 4.1.2. Both Microsoft Word 2010 and LibreOffice 5.1 do
manage to render it properly.
Also, please note that once Microsoft Word 2010 has been used to convert the
document to Open Document Text (ODT) the list is displayed properly by
OpenOffice, including the image bullet. The resulting ODT file is also much,
much smaller (~38KB).
The attached document (demo.docx) has been edited in Word 2010 to contain only
the pertinent page so as to work within file size constraints.
