[jira] [Created] (EXTVAL-129) ExtVal does not work with Primefaces when using partial rendering

ExtVal does not work with Primefaces when using partial rendering
-----------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: EXTVAL-129
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/EXTVAL-129
             Project: MyFaces Extensions Validator
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Core
    Affects Versions: 2.0.4
         Environment: Primefaces 2.1
            Reporter: Marcel Urbanek
            Priority: Minor

Using partial rendering features of primefaces (at least in the 2.1 version) doesn't work when used with ExtVal. Primefaces casts renderers to PartialRenderer but this doesn't work with the ExtVal Renderer Wrappers. Solution here is to implement a GenericRenderKitWrapperFactory that produces wrappers that implement PartialRenderer.

Rudy De Busscher commented on EXTVAL-129:
-----------------------------------------

There will be made an add-on, based on the attached code, to solve the issue. Since the problem is no longer present in the latest version of PrimeFaces.

------------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix
      Assignee: Rudy De Busscher
        Status: Resolved (was: Patch Available)

since it's a bug of old primefaces versions, we don't have to fix it. if needed it's possible to use http://code.google.com/a/apache-extras.org/p/myfaces-extval-addons/source/browse/#hg%2Fcomponent-support%2FPrimeFacesR1 as workaround for old versions
